There are some places that you visit but leave a piece of your heart behind when you go and Sun Valley was definitely one of those places! On one of the afternoons we ventured up to Redfish Lake and rented a pontoon boat and kayaks so we could explore all the way to the other side where the mountains meet the lake!

The days are long in Idaho in June and we got to enjoy a sunny warm evening until almost 10pm! We followed up our afternoon on the lake with one of the best dinners at the Redfish Lake Lodge!

The rest of the trip was full of amazing food in the downtown area (my fav was Southeast Asian food at Rickshaw. YUM!), drinking all the macha lattes I could summon (favs were at Java on Fourth or Konditorei) or getting lost in the wild flowers.

While in Sun Valley I did two different hikes and on both the views were AMAZING! It was incredible how even on bluebird, sunny days we could have the trails mostly to ourselves. I treasure the peace and tranquility of spending time in nature and would consider my time on the trails of Sun Valley an extension of my yoga practice.

It reminds me of one of my favorite John Muir quotes, “I only went out for a walk and finally concluded to stay out till sundown, for going out, I found, was really going in.”

Thank you Visit Sun Valley for inviting me out for such an incredible experience of nature and nurture. I feel so refreshed from all my adventures and from the lovey stay at the Limelight Hotel! Looking forward to the next time I get to come out for a visit!!
